Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need to pay a deposit to book an appointment?
No deposit is required. You pay the full price when you book or place a card on file. There’s no remaining balance due unless add-ons were applied like (late fee, same-day fee etc.).
2. Is hair included, or do I need to bring my own products?
Hair is provided (in black only) and listed as an add-on when booking. If you want a custom color or blend, you must purchase and drop it off at least 24 hours before your appointment for prep. You don’t need to bring products unless you prefer your own.
3. What happens if I’m running late to my appointment?
A 15-minute grace period is permitted. After 16-20 minutes a late fee $25 is applied, After 21-30 minutes the appointment is cancelled, marked as a no-show and is non-refundable. You can reschedule by contacting me before the end of your appointment. Two late no-shows = booking privileges revoked.
4. How do cancellations and reschedules work?
You must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. Anything after that is non-refundable.
5. Can I bring my kids, guests, or pets with me to my appointment?
Kids are welcome! I have a child-friendly extra room with a cam so you can keep an eye on them. Please bring whatever they’ll need (snacks, toys, tablets, etc.). Infants may stay with the parent. You may bring 1 guest due to limited space.
No pets allowed except vested service dogs. Emotional Support Animals are not permitted.
6. Do I need to prep my hair before the appointment?
Yes—your natural hair must be washed, fully detangled, and product-free before you arrive, unless you booked the Full Service add-on (which includes shampoo and prep). Not all services come with a wash included. Failure to do so will result in a reschedule or an upcharge for a wash to be completed. If you arrive unprepared more than once, you will be blocked from booking future appointments, and any payments made will be non-refundable.
7. What hairstyles do you offer?
I offer a range of styles from braids to locs but if you don’t see it listed in my booking options, I don’t offer it.
8. Where are you located, and where can I park?
Appointments are done at my in-home studio. Parking is limited—you may park in the driveway or on the street.
9. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash for VIP only, credit/debit cards, Cash App +3% fee, Apple Pay +3% fee, Zelle and service-for-service (only if the service value matches and proof of work is provided). Contact me for details if you’d like to barter services.
